Culture Spot: On This Day … April 2nd – First Woman Elected to US Congress

On this day in 1917, 3 years before women received the right to vote in the United States, Jeannette Rankin was elected as the first woman to United States House of Representatives from the state of Montana. Here is a short video about it:
