Today is the birthday of the ninth President of the United States. Harrison was the first president to die in office, only 32 days after taking office due to a cold that turned into pneumonia and pleurisy!
His presidency was the shortest but he gave the longest inaugural address in US history, 2 hours long on a cold and wet March day! Until Reagan became president, Harrison also had the distinct honor of being the oldest elected president.
