to be willing to do something | - | If you are willing to do something, you do it even if you don’t want to. You must have the will which is the determination to do what is necessary. In the television series 24, Jack Bauer would willingly give his life for his country. Have you tried to give up a bad habit such as smoking or tried to lose weight? This takes willpower! This is the ability to control your behavior or thoughts in order to achieve something. |
to do whatever it takes | - | If you really want to do something, you might do anything and everything to accomplish your goal. In other words, you would do whatever it takes to succeed. Jack Bauer doesn’t always follow the conventional rules and will do whatever it takes to capture the bad guy. |
a role model | - | Parents should be good role models for their children. Their behavior and actions should be considered as good examples for their children to follow and copy. |
