US Senator Edward Moore “Ted” Kennedy (1932 – 2009)

On August 25th of this week, America’s third-longest serving senator succumbed to brain cancer and passed away. Ted Kennedy, a controversial figure, was first elected to the US Senate as a Democrat for the state of Massachusetts in 1962 where he served until his death. He was the youngest brother of President John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy, both of whom were assassinated.
